While we do passive recruiting, NHMGS also have a unique chance to get into the more mainstream public. For the last several years we put on Game Day at the Museum of Flight in Seattle (thank you Kevin). Something about playing a game of Air Racing, DBA, or Zulus under the belly of an SR-71 is just too cool. We get a lot of exposure. The kids ask lots of questions, and we are very encouraging to them. A few even hang around long enough to play a little DBA. If nothing else it is the best venue in town for gaming. Wish we could do it more often. |
