I don't see how oversaturating the market with cheap pre-painted minis make good sense for GW on a business standpoint. You reach a point of diminishing returns and then you couldn't get rid of the minis in the bargain bin because they're a dime a dozen. I look at all the WizKids pre-painted Battletech and Heroclix minis at my local stores that couldn't be had for free and I think this is what's gonna happen with if we go the pre-painted route. |

We seem to be seeing a steady shift, among the more popular types of tabletop games, toward using pre-painted figures. If you had to predict, when will Games Workshop redirect its efforts to focus on pre-painted figures (rather than paint-them-yourself figures)? |
