By the way we have tried to play where you roll the greater chance of success first. It doesn't change the end result it just means less die rolling. In the instance above terminator saves are rolled first as they cut down on the dice rolled. It didn't save much time and became a little annoying after a couple of rounds of reminding people how to do it. |

In White Dwarf #297, Andy Hoare explains why armor saves are rolled last: ...one question players often ask is, "Why are armor saves rolled after rolling to Wound, rather than before?" There are several reasons, but the most important is one of player interaction - the game is more fun if the player who owns a model has the final say over its fate, which is why the roll is called a "save."
