Sandpaper works far better than might be expected. I use it on heavy bases so they wont slide down hills. There is no need to use a heavy grade of sandpaper, so the chance of damaging scenery is negligible. I work hard on my scenery and would not use a method that damaged it. I've never had a problem with medium grade sandpaper. And its very inexpensive. Sandpaper looks quite good on the top of a base too and all you need to do is paint it a bit to look like earth and grass. For that purpose I do use a coarser grade though. |
