Ian Hinds of Hinds Figures is reported by Miniature Wargames magazine to find the state of the hobby "surprisingly buoyant given the state of the economy," but notes that gamers are more likely to make smaller purchases - for example, a Field of Glory army (20-40 figures) rather than a DBM army (200-400 figures).
