Agree with Jeremy and John – I voted "follower" because usually someone else sets up the games, umpires, etc – but, for ACW or Colonial, I bring the minis, umpire the game, etc (partially because I about the only local member of the group with those armies) |

Writing in The Heliograph #160, Gordon Andrews tells how he was compelled into a new period by another gamer in his wargaming group: ...he is probably one of the most dedicated gamers I have ever known. Once he settles on a particular genre for gaming there is no turning him back. The Boxer Rebellion era was to prove to be one of his grand obsessions and as usual he would involve our entire group in the project...
