On this thread, unknown member makes a good point - that VSF is a less inclusive name than VAG. Say that you wanted to run a Tarzan or Quartermain or Jungle Book campaign. This would be very much Victorian adventure, but would probably include far more fantasy elements than science fiction.

Similar would be a game involving chasing Jack the Ripper, Count Dracula, Mr. Hyde or Cthulhu cultists through London or Transylvania.

Most Steampunk/VSF/VAG/whatever games seem to involve multiples of these elements, where you might be fighting Martian tripods one week and mummies in Egypt the next.

Anyway, no great shakes. If the membership decides it likes Victorian Science Fiction rather than Victorian Adventure Gaming, I won't commit hari kiri just yet, but I do think it makes better sense.

Should we change the Victorian Science Fiction Board's name to the Victorian Adventure Gaming Board?
