I have a BA in History and then went into commercial banking. After my sophomore year in college, I wasn't enjoying the business classes and decided that since college was a once in a lifetime event, that I might as well take the courses that I enjoyed the most (history) and then worry about the job market after graduation. That was one of the best decisions that I ever made. Later, I went back to grad school for my MBA in business. |

There's an old story - probably apocryphal - about the legendary Larry Brom conducting a game session using his own rules at a major game convention. One of the players begins to lose, and consequently begins to criticize the rules. Larry patiently asks him what he bases his observations on. The self-proclaimed expert says, "I was a History major." "Weren't we all!" says an exasperated fellow player. Are there more History majors among wargamers than among the regular population? |
