Our group has reverted to Armati 2. We recently played an Armati campaign (based on the DBA system) with Sumerians, Elamites, and Akkadians in 28mm (Eureka Miniatures). We must have played at least 9 games over two and a half days. Most enjoyable. I think the big difference is that Armati doesn't allow you to have the 'shot gun' appearance (of units wandering around the battlefield in perfect control) of other rule sets, the battle line is very important. |
