There are several gaming stores within my area, but to be honest, I voted "No" as to space for gaming. One store near me 'tries' to promote a game every week and also one every other weekend, and they do have a table and players; but it crowds the store uncomfortably and makes doing business very cramped for both the owner and the customers. In stark contrast are those shops that I have frequented in other cities where I have either lived or visited, that had adequate room for gaming. One in particular was in Texas near where I was living for a short while, and it had no less than 14 tables, five of them were 5' x 9' ping-pong tables! Others were almost as large, three were much bigger. The hobby shop had the distinction of being located in an old grocery store, so the area near the front was where the 'shop' was and all else was gaming space. I loved that place! Too bad it didn't remain in business very long. |
