I've already tried it. It's not bad. Only three things annoyed me: 1) A retroactive merc/minion list needs to be published. (i.e. Magnus would work for the Skorne — although, that'd be a 1000+ point list) 2) The circles on the record cards are too small. 3) This means that PP is unlikely to print a WM 2nd Ed. rulebook that turns WM into a better game. The best I can hope for now is revised point costs for stuff and even that is unlikely since they just printed the color stat cards not that long ago. Major Thom, you should give WM a try if you like infantry. Infantry are far more point-efficient than the warjacks. I'm sure the same will prove true in Hordes. I see where Javier B is coming from on the metaplot thing. I actually like that in games. It worked well in Clan War. I think they should move the timeline further officially and nix all of the non-epic versions of casters that have epic versions. It fixes a ton of stuff. Bede19001, a lot of the kits are running around because PP's demo team (the Press Gangers) received starters to demo the game. This is a *great* idea since they will need to be familiar with the game before the launch-day events. |
