I would take the Roman and paint it up in the colors and insignia of Legio IX Hispana legio-ix-hispana.org and offer it as a prize to the fighter who receives the most acclaim at Great Western War in October greatwesternwar.org The Barbarian would probably be a prize for one of the barbarian households. I would paint up the gladiator and enter it at a Strategicon figure tournament. And, after that, I would give it to my son since he is very into ancient cultures. Of course, he would get first choice and he might take the Roman soldier so the Roman's would get the gladiator. Wyatt |

The Alpha 54mm Painting Contest is currently underway. Each of the five finalists has received a bubblewrapped bundle of three 54mm scale figures - a gladiator, a barbarian, and an imperial soldier.
