Actually, he's already dead. He died right after Stacy and I got married, and we were't paying much attention to what was going on in the world. Got back home after a week, turned on the news, and the announcer was saying that, after lying in state for five days (or something), Tip O'Neill was going to be buried the following day. We looked at each other and said "Tip O'Neill's dead?!" Ever since then, "Knowing when Tip O'Neill dies" is our phrase for staying in the loop, news-wise. |
