Although it feels a bit late, I'll chime in as well. I *like* most of the existing designs, and in fact, recently bought a PILE of the Combine units to use with DSII. The few designs that I don't like are: Combine GEV Hm. That's actually about it. Now, that said, I would certainly not object to *additional new designs* of existing units. A second heavy tank model, an alternate missile tank, etc. I mean, if you look at things historically, it's only been very recently that nations have started to really consolidate on designs. The US M-1 is a good example. It's our ONLY BMT. But then, look at WWII. Germany had how many versions of PzIVs? PzIIIs? Only a handful of Panthers and Tigers, mostly being design details, and not major *capability* changes, but still, it would allow for easy justification for additional models. I have been talking to a local guy about doing some OGRE minis gaming, and may actually use some DSII minis I have in OGRE minis roles. No reason that my Wolf MBTs can't be Heavy Tanks. :) So, my vote is (and was) not to redisign. But I'd support new, additional designs with my wallet, which is where it counts. John |

Are the Ogre (Steve Jackson Games) vehicle designs "classics" that should continue to be produced? Or are they dated concepts, that should be re-imagined for a modern audience? |
