For the holiday shoppers L.L.Bean and Land's End have free shipping. To be fair they charge shipping the rest of the year, but during the holidays they offer shipping free. My point being that perhaps the publishers, manufacturers, wholesalers, and etailers of our hobby should consider some of the promotional tools that other businesses use to increase sales and market share.

I do not think that free shipping is a bad idea, only it is a bad idea when the goods are free too.

That would people out of business.
