NJ Wargamer prompts us to ask: How did you first make contact with the tabletop wargaming hobby?
"My story is that I discovered Rocco tanks at a Woolworth's (!) in the Cherry Hill Mall (NJ) in 1960," says NJ Wargamer. "My first tanks were an M-48 and a Sherman. In 1963, I found a copy of Tactics II and D-Day in a bookstore. When I opened the box I was hooked. I attended my first convention (MFCA) in 1972 at, then, Pennsylvania Military College (PMC and now Widner). I attended the first Origins convention, and helped organize the first PhilCon (before it became a major sci-fi convention)." |
