I used fixed stands but my planes aren't straight and level. Every single game I've seen using telescopic stands have the models at eye height ensuring the visual is dominated by the stands no the planes especially if you use smaller models. Looking down on models 3 – 6 inches above the table top means you don't see that much stand. BTH plays fast and I use micro dice to show the altitude. I don't want to bother sliding telescopic stands up and down as a few inches in model height doesn't REALLY show a few thousand feet in difference anyway since the model to ground or air scale is so distorted. Tried telescopics and sold them! |
