Writing in Battlegames magazine, Angus Konstam observed: I have wargaming pals who appear quite normal, except when the English Civil War comes along, they can't wait to fight for the King. Are they opponents of democracy, do they believe in the 'divine right to rule' or do they support unrepresentative autocracies? Of course not. They just want to be dashing Cavaliers!
