To me, painting is part relaxation, part torture. I have a friend Chris who is an AWESOME miniatures painter! I can't even get close to him on quality! In started painting minis in 2004, starting with a HUGE collection of Napoleonic 1/72 scale figs. My painted collection was stolen last year and I am the process of starting up again, but its very frustrating. They don't turn out as well as I'd like and I am afraid how they would stack up against other minis at a convention. I have considered speed painting, substituting quantity for quantity, but I am a details-orinted kind of guy. Yes, I AM a perfectionist and I know artist is ever pleased with his own work, but that's how I feel. |
