The problem with the flag-waving thing is that there are too many degrees of freedom. One of the things that drove me nuts while I was getting my degree was that most of the flow equations required you to make assumptions about the inputs -- if you guessed wrong, you'd get the wrong answer. It drove me nuts. I'm sure that somebody will figure it out some day, but they'll probably have to be experts on material theory and vibration analysis, too. And did I mention slightly insane? ;) I haven't heard about bees and particle theory, but that's not surprising. I'm not an expert on bees. ;) |
