| POLL DESCRIPTION |
Should designers include gunpowder hand-weapons in fantasy rules systems?
(Not including cannons - just flintlocks, muskets, and similar primitive hand-carried black powder weapons.) |
yes - guns are fun | I prefer games that feature guns.
no - doesn't make sense | It's ridiculous to insert gun technology in a fantasy world, without ripping up the background and designing from scratch.
no - too mundane | Guns are ordinary and boring. If you're going to add something, make it fantastic and interesting.
no - don't fit the genre | Muskets don't fit in with my concept of fantasy. They're not in my preferred fantasy universe.
yes - enjoy techno-fantasy | In my preferred fantasy setting, there's a mix of magic and technology.
yes - other | Yes, for reasons different than given in the other options.
no - other | No, for reasons other than listed.
no - too powerful | Handweapons are too powerful and dominate the game.
yes - balances the game | Technology is needed to balance the game for low-magic armies and forces.
