I am organizing my forces around the Battle of Olustee, because it is: a) relatively obscure, and The most famous regiment in the bunch would have to be the 54th Mass. on the Union side. For the secesh, Colquitt's Georgians. Nary a Berdan's sharpshooter nor a Zouave in sight. |

LegioVI Ferrata wonders: Just about every ACW gamer that I know who has been into it for more than a year or so tends to have one of several units, these including the Tiger Zouaves, Washington Artillery, 14th New York and Berdan's Rifles. Now, there were exactly two regiments of Berdan's Rifles, the 1st and 2nd US Sharpshooters, among the greater than 1,000 Union regiments, and only one unit each of the others. I think the draw is the chance to paint green coats among all that blue. My question is, how many of you have one of these units in your ACW army? |
