Some people feel that the hobby is rapidly diverging into Painters and Players.
According to this theory, Painters would rather spend hours painting one figure to ridiculous levels, and maybe play the odd RPG or mass skirmish game with a very low figure density. Players would rather play games, and accumulate large numbers of figures painted to "wargame" quality.
