I don't worry about lead free for myself, I'm an adult. But in regards to my children, (aged 3 and 7) I don't like them using lead miniatures. Lead free for the 7 year old and plastic for the 3 year old. The 7 year old is only allowed to paint a lead minaiture IF I have done the miniatrue preparation and I have already sealed it in undercoat. All the kids have to wash their hands in sugar soap and are not allowed to eat or drink at the painting desk. For useful household tips on working safely with lead go to Also read what it can do to children. |
