In the Spring of 1814, the British marched off for what they thought would be another "Little War" with an isolated Himalayan Kingdom. After years of setbacks fighting the doughty and tenacious Nepalese warriors, Britain and the Gurkhas reached a mutual admiration, and forged a relationship that lasted through the centuries.

These fantastic 28mm miniatures sculpted by the indomitable Mr. Paul Hicks will allow you to recreate the skirmishes and battles of this conflict that forever changed the histories of India, Nepal and the British Army.

Pontoonier has spared no expense in bringing this under-covered conflict to life. The initial offering includes the Gurkha irregulars who made up the bulk of the armies which faced the British. There is a ridiculous amount of variety, with four different command packs, and a host of warriors armed with muskets, melee weapons, and the ubiquitous Kukri.

This is just the start, and more fantastic releases are scheduled for this range. Not wanting to reinvent the wheel, Pontoonier Miniatures recommends you use the fantastic Napoleonic British from Brigade Games, also sculpted by Mr. Hicks, as opponents.

Much more to come, so watch this space!
