Napoleonics

Back to HISTORICAL

For many gamers, there is no other interest besides the Era of Napoleon. The Corsican artillerist who became Emperor of France and Master (for a time) of the Continent of Europe continues to fascinate us.

Napoleon also ushered in a new era of strategy and tactics, and the rapid evolution is apparent in the difference between games played at the beginning (the French Revolution) and the end (the Waterloo campaign) of this period.

Welcoming Osprey Publishing!

Please join me in welcoming our latest TMP advertiser, Osprey Publishing!

"Osprey Publishing has been the first port of call for wargamers interested in getting into a new historical period for decades," writes Joe. "With a back catalog of nearly 2,000 titles and over 100 new books a year, Osprey is the industry leader when it comes to illustrated military history books.

"Several years ago, Osprey properly entered the wargaming market (along with their partners Slitherine) with the release of Field of Glory: Ancient and Medieval. Later, Osprey partnered with Ambush Alley Games to produce Force on Force and Tomorrow’s War.

Field of Glory: Napoleonic

"Looking to the future, Osprey is set for two more major wargame releases this year - Field of Glory: Napoleonic (with Slitherine) and Bolt Action: World War II Wargames Rules with Warlord Games."
