"Founded in 1930 and producing plastic figures since 1946, Starlux was the giant of plastic soldiers in France, a benchmark for its quality, themes covered and scales offered. Financial difficulties led to a first closure due to bankruptcy in 1996 and despite the brave efforts made by the artist Francis Lalanne since 1997 to put the company back in the black, it permanently closed its doors in 2005. His pieces, especially the classic ones in rigid plastic, are today highly sought after and appreciated by collectors…" OT
