Made out of 3/8' plywood in many shapes and sizes. Been in game table use since the mid 1070's with their fourth recoat of flocking material. So durable I have driven a car atop one piece with no ill effect except for a nice tire print now hidden under a flocking touch up.

Mine are all from Last Valley and S&A Scenics and are so nice I don't need to make my own!

Making hills is one crafting job, out of many others, that make up my gaming hobby. I had a great time making my own hills. I enjoy making models of buildings, as well. Crafting for my tabletop needs is a huge attraction to the hobby, for me.

I've crafted modular ice cavern wall sections, modular stone cave wall sections, and other things, too. It's all a sub-part of the whole of the hobby, for me. I thoroughly enjoy the crafting portions of the whole of my war gaming hobby. Cheers!

I do make my own hills as part of my Terrain Maker layouts. They can be arranged in almost limitless configurations.

When I started wargaming, over 60 years ago, you had to make your own terrain, so I made my modular hill system and have gradually expanded it over the years.

You can see it here (scroll down to reach hills).

Yes and no. A large number of my 80 games a year are unique so I do make them. However I use either our own fold flat modular system for 1/72 or Hexon 2 for 1/144. Most of my games feture at least some unique hill shapes.
