For example, do you use less space when gaming with smaller figures, compared to larger figures?

I have two max. table sizes available 6ft by 6ft (mancave) and 8ft by 6ft (club). I somtimes go smaller than this limit if it's say a very simple scenario like a convoy raid for a beginner where a 6ft by 4ft table is sufficent in 1/144.

The other case where the table will dramaticaly reduce in either scale is if it is a very dence uban enviroments. Here the tabel will not typically have more than say 30 (A very large area for me) closely spaced so it can be as low as 6ft by 4ft or even smaller. At 1/144 proably only 3ft by 2 ft is neccessary.
