As the tile suggests who's going ahead with planning to put on a Pavia game, be it at your club, home or at a show in 2025?

If so, what are your plans for the game and given that the events are not all that clear, how do you plan to organise the game?

Fantastic, I'm on the other side of the pond so please do take as many pictures as possible. The Great Italian Wars is probably the most colourful and attractive "periods" out there.

I am planning a game to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Pavia and will be running it at Historicon 2025.

I give regular updates of my planning at my blog: link

I am currently working on my game for Historicon 2024, but once that is complete it will be full time on my Pavia project.

There are multiple accounts of the battle so you really need to settle on one. I favor the account by Jean Giono in his book The Battle of Pavia.
It all became a lot easier once I realized that the terrain and the starting locations of the units are not really in dispute. So once I set it up, it will be up to the players to see how the battle develops.
Hopefully others can find some useful information and a little inspriration from my blog. It is going to be fun watching other peoples recreation of the battle in 2025

Martyn K – Wonderful project. If judged by your prior efforts, Pavia will be another outstanding success. Good luck!

Precisely the reason I popped the question, it will be very interesting to see how people tackle the battle and prepare it for the tabletop. It will almost be almost a unique experience for the Great Italian Wars with 2025 fast approaching.
