hi EEE ya Supporting Member of TMP01 Dec 2017 10:39 a.m. PST

Good evening everyone,

I would like to know :

1 / If the Little Big Men Studios shield tranfers are the right size for the shields of the 28mm Old Glory references figures below?

DAC-002: Knight Templars in Surcoat, mounted
DAC-003: Knight Hospitallers in Dresses
DAC-004: Mounted Turcopoles
DAC-005: Armored Crossbowmen
DAC-006: Armored Infantry
DAC-007: Crusader Mounted Command

2 / If the banners at Little Big Men Studios are the right size for the 28mm Old Glory reference figures above?

3 / If not, which factory would offer good shield tranfers and banners at the right size for 28 mm Old Glory references above ?

Thank you

Paskal

LBM are fantastic, but I have had mixed success getting LBM transfers to fit shields they were not specifically designed for.

As an alternative – you might consider the VVV range of waterslide decals – the medievals are generic, small heater shaped transfers that work on a range of size and shape shields. They are also much less expensive per unit – so good for the rank and file.

Send an e-mail directly to Steve who is LBM. Great guy, he'll let you know.

I agree with DC. VVVV decals are very useful for military orders as you can use the 15mm size crosses for surcoats
and so on. They also come in a variety of colors, and conform well to the figure.

Hospitaller knights wore dresses? Who knew? I would have thought the Church frowned on that.

Perris0707 what is noted on the American sites is: "Knight Hospitlars in Robes" ditto on the British site …

It's sad because in fact these figurines carry the famous "cappa clausa".

In 1248 they replaced the "cappa clausa" in battle with a black surcoat.

And in 1259 this was changed to a red surcoat with a broad white of "Greek" style bleeding off the edges of the garment (and presumably the shield also).

but go see the topic on the Hospitallers knights…

DColtman and wrgmr1, I know Steve of Little Big Mr. Great
guy, but my questions are if his Little Big Men Studios shield tranfers are the right size for the shields of the 28mm Old Glory references figures below?

DAC-002: Knight Templars in Surcoat, mounted
DAC-003: Knight Hospitallers in "cappa clausa"
DAC-004: Mounted Turcopoles
DAC-005: Armored Crossbowmen
DAC-006: Armored Infantry
DAC-007: Crusader Mounted Command

2 / If the banners at Little Big Men Studios are the right size for the 28mm Old Glory reference figures above?

3 / If not, which factory would offer good shield tranfers and banners at the right size for 28 mm Old Glory references above ?

Thank you
