Hello,
As the question states, are there any places where you can find Star Wars figures or rules in 25-30mm scale? I know that West End Games put out a rulebook and some minis back in the 80s, but WEG is now gone. Any input would be helpful.

Wizards was making some but I think they are out of print now, although they are new enough they may be on shelves yet or online stores.

eBay.

If they aren't there, wait a day and try eBay again. WEG's boxed starter set with rules and 12 miniatures sells there frequently for less than the original retail price, and loose copies of the rulebook sold for around $5 last time I checked. The miniatures are always available there, both WEG's 25mm and WotC's 30mm (most of which actually are compatible enough to be mixed if you aren't too picky). Some figures sell for high collectible prices, but some are available for less than original retail.

WEG's SWMB rules still have loyal fans. The game actually plays as a realistic squad-based skirmish, easily convertible to a modern setting. WotC had announced a Star Wars skirmish game which never appeared, unless part of it got recycled as Hasbro's Epic Duels which is a fun simple game with a bunch of roughly 30mm plastic figures (now marked down for post-Christmas sales at some stores).

I've got some info on my site: www.jakestable.com
and some links to other good fan sites from there, plus some suggestions for other figures that might work as substitutes.

Happy hunting!

Or you could ask me. STAR WARS MINIATURE BATTLES West End Games. Printed 1993 by the date in the cover. All templates and counters inside. How about $10.00 and a couple for shippping. Good condition, the cover is slightly marred on the edge.

I will sell you mine. I have the starter box rules and the supplement both in great condition w/templates, plus a bunch of figures all painted except a few. We use to demo it at my old shop.

email me and we can deal.

Albinorhino(search for that name) has some star wars listed(these are the WOTC 28mm figs).

There's a new board game called "Star Wars: Epic Duels" out that has a number of 28mm plastic figures in it. Most of them are nice, some need work to be presentable, and virtually all need to be repainted.
