Hi

I have a few dozen of Empress Miniatures Ultramoderns and was thinking to expand my collection with some of the references from Spectre Miniatures. I was wondering if someone knows how they compare size and quality-wise.

Thanks in advance!

Pretty close in height. More slender but not by much. Detail is great. Only quibble is some of the weapons barrels are fragile.

I use them both in the same units and they look fine to me.

Thanks a lot! I intend to use Spectre for the more "civilian" types and PMCs. Spectre has a female operative that is perfect for representing one of my favourite spy characters, Tara Chace, after the novels and graphic-novels by Greg Rucka, Queen and Country.

I use both and they mix well.

Both are a similar size and bulk. Painted up they can be intermingled. Empress are slightly more detailed and consistent in the sculpting. Spectre get better with each new release.

With regards to weapons, Spectres first releases from the 2014 Kickstarter had very thin and fragile weapons. New production is much better.

Empress actually delivers on figures. Spectre, not so much. Just look at Spectre's kickstarters as far as nondelivery of figures almost 2 years on!

Uff… You make wary to order, Cyrus.

I have actually been waiting on my Spectre order for well over a month. They have said that they are working on implementation of a new system for filling orders.

Meanwhile, my Eureka USA orders are coming in like clockwork and usually having orders shipped to Canada from the United States takes forever… I mean, it's usually the other way around.

Anyway, I'd wait on it for a few months until they have their stuff together.
