In fact, as said in the question, which vallejo colour is best for french napoleonic blue |

I used to use Vallejo "Prussian Blue" as a base color -adding a bot of black for shadows and a bit of "Dark Blue" for highlights. Now, I use a "Blue Paint Set" from Andrea Color. This has 6 different blues – Base, 1st Light, 2d Light, 3rd Light, 1st Shadow and 2d Shadow. This is a great product and I highly recommend it. Regards, John |

I've always used Navy Blue myself since it is a fairly close match to the dark shade of blue used by the French, especially in the smaller scales such as 6mm and 15mm… Frank |

Their Navy is a good enough match as Frank writes, but for some reason all of various Vallejo blues are very watery and paint on horribly.. Not sure if I got a few bad apples, but they are very loose and runny, much different than any of my other Vallejo paints/colors. Sincerely, Bob |
