Here's something I found on-line: link

That looks good. The only bit of cheap terrain I've found recently is a dinosaur skeleton whilst in a "Pound" shop yesterday killing time before my doctor's appointment. It'll look good in a museum scenario.

My brother has one of these (along with a mini pyramid and a couple of other egyptian statues) that I was going to 'liberate' but felt guilty about denying his fish a home! :-)

Talking of dinosaur skeletons….. I picked up a few from the Natural History Museum in London (you can get them through their website I think) for less than a tenner each (they're about 9" long on average) and used them to make my pulp 'dinosaur graveyard' board:

The second half of my 28mm Pulp Egyptian archeological dig gallery/the dig site is made up of lots of toys and fish tank decor. There is some great stuff out there. You can see my Pulp Egyptian archeological dig terrain at link

War in 15mm….>GASP!<

You are a genius! That set up is one of the most beautifully thought out and constructed things I have ever seen!

Thank you for sharing and for the inspiration it's given me.

Fantastic!

The DancingCakeTin, thank you so much for the very generous words. It's always great to know that others think my stuff looks good. I have a great time planning, finding, building and painting. For me it's been a wonderful hobby. Thanks again for taking the time to write and letting me know my collection/project will help you with your project. Richard

I have to concur with TheDancingCakeTin – your pulp egyptian boards are simply stunning, War in 15mm.

TWO 7'x5' boards?!?!? now that's what I call impressive! …and thanks for all the additional info regarding where you sourced your materials, that will prove very useful indeed.

Thanks to all for the very kind words. I've had great success finding wonderful terrain pieces at my local swap meet (probably some places these would be called flea markets or car boot sales). The walls, entrance, and small inner temple that make up my large Egyptian temple complex are all swap meet finds. In case anyone reading this is also interested in pirates, I got all my ships at the swap meet (four Disney Pirates of the Caribbean ships and one Playmobil). They were all broken toys that I got very cheap (from $1 USD to $10 USD) and modified, repaired and painted them. You can see those in my 28mm Pirate Gallery at warin15mm.com/Pirates.html
