Just saw on their website. that they are going to be selling a range of 10mm from 13th October…Anyone know anything about this or seen them?

"10mm Ancients, ACW and Zulu Wars (Available 13th October)"

Haven't heard anything about it, but I'm looking forward to it now! Can't have too many ACW or Zulu War lines.

Who asked this joker02 Oct 2013 6:50 a.m. PST

Noooooooooooooo! They need to fill out there 1/72 scale Dark Ages range.

10mm ACW, though may be useful. Especially if they have cavalry.

Lewisgunner02 Oct 2013 9:19 a.m. PST

Fully agree Joker. Send Sean at Newline inspirational pictures of what you want and we will both push him.

I would be highly interested in 10mm Zulus!

I've purchased direct for the past several years: excellent figures, good prices and fast service.

Steve W23 Oct 2013 2:36 p.m. PST

Has anyone seen these in the flesh yet so to speak?

cheers

No, been checking their site-no pics yet.

Thanks, hard to discern quality from the pictures presented.

Anyone actually seen these?

CATenWolde04 Nov 2013 5:08 a.m. PST

Overall they look good … but are the ACW figures marching with the musket on the left?

Joes Shop Supporting Member of TMP04 Nov 2013 9:20 a.m. PST

Just blew up one of the pictures and the muskets are on the left shoulder.

CATenWolde04 Nov 2013 10:31 a.m. PST

Well … sassafras! What is it about UK companies not getting the right shoulder carry correct for the ACW? Magister Militum, Pendraken (although to their credit they commissioned extra sculpts to correct it), and now Newline.

Joes Shop Supporting Member of TMP04 Nov 2013 12:16 p.m. PST

Yeah, sigh.

bendsinister21 Nov 2013 9:25 a.m. PST

Crackerline all have the weapon on the right shoulder.
They're British made.

Cracker Line are indeed great miniatures … but made in the US of A:

Actually gents, my sculptor are moulds are in the UK but I am in the US. Cracker Line, therefore, is an international enterprise.

I've got a lot of the Newlines 10mm ancients stuff, and they're very good. I was especially impressed by some real-looking Thracians at last, with proper caps and cloaks. They paint up a treat, even for a muggins with a brush like me.

LeonAdler11 May 2014 1:16 p.m. PST

ACWBill,
I think that makes you 'mid atlantic' lol
Yes an odd mistake to make, once someone had done it the first time you'd have thought everyone else would be aware of the error. I had Don Troiani prints all over the walls so couldn't slip into error when I did my 6mm range lol

BTW, great figures!!!!

And as a newbie in 10mm ancients, all the info on this thread is relevent to me. :)

ACWBill27 May 2014 12:32 p.m. PST

Actually Smokey, I am all 954! : )

LeonAdler27 May 2014 2:49 p.m. PST

'305' '945' now your just playing an old colonials game with your previous Masters lol
"peoples divided by a common language………….."
