So, what do you think?

Looks like a fun game. It is also one of the best produced game promo videos I've seen. The special dice mechanic looks better now that I've seen why they created it. Well done!

Looks very, very interesting. Think I want to pick this up. Not necessarily keen on the "we have a new full set of dice so you need to buy a full set of dice just for this game" though.

Thanks for sharing.

They have an app for rolling those dice :) Of course it's stupid expensive at $5. USD

Don't know. If the finished product, at least 2 years away, is going to be 1300+ pages I think I'll give it a miss. One of the reasons I always liked the 'little black books' of Traveller was that the rules were light and didn't get in the way of the scenario/action/plot/role playing. I'm sure they cover every angle, but 1300 pages of rules is a lot of rules, even with padding & explainations. Seems over developed.

Check the size of the book in the beginner set. It might all be fluff and examples. I guess the beta book was rather large. That was minus the fluffy stuff.

There's six films, twenty years of novels, four TV series, however many comics, four or five series of computer games, and of course the two previos RPGS, all contibuting to the setting. The Wookieepedia has 103,000 articles. 1,300 pages is not that much to explain the setting. grin

The rules are free flowing and simple – the book is well laid out, lots of play examples, lots of bumf and characters as well as an adventure.

The rules themselves can be picked up very quickly as we are finding out.

We played this a while back. I got the Beta book and the starter box.
Played it for a few months, and got really frustrated with it. That whole 'you succeed, but just barely, so this happens instead of that' started to drag on the game for us.

I ended up GIVING my stuff away. Which is saying something, as I am a huge SW fan and a game hoarder.

It wasn't for my Club.
Hopefully you will have more success.
