Has anyone made a scratch built or conversion steam walker for your VSF games? Here are some ideas I've found.

West End Games used to make a Star Wars AT-PT. I think SIMTAC(?) now has the moulds. Although the scale was a nominal (old) 25mm, it would work with today's larger 15's. Just glue some gears on it

link Above is a link to some I made several years ago now. I really should finish off a couple of others I have half built. Cheers, Barry |

Thanks for bringing up the Burger King Tarantulas again; has anyone tried my idea of flipping the bodies upside down? Don't have any piccies, but they look more like stalking menaces, and work fine with four or six legs, which is good because I used to find bodies missing legs oft while garage sale/thrift store hunting. Best to remove the stack, of course. ;->= Doug |

The legs were from a pound shop insect transformer toy, the main hull is the top of a spray can with some card reinforcing with an old tank sprocket on the top, bendy straw smoke stack, and some plastic rod to make a Gatling gun. Steve.

Don't forget to go scrounge the Gasshapon toys from Japan. 'Sakura Wars' is technically Edwardian (1920s), but it's definitely steampunk! |
