I`ve posted some stuff on my blog about what and where you can find suitable figures and stuff in 20mm for Mexican Revolution era games. I`ve included lots of pics and links to the various websites. baberonwargames.blogspot.co.uk |

Thanks for posting this. I am a 1/72 fanboy but 28mm is actually cheaper. I would love doing it with 18mm Blue Moon but since that is unlikely to happen I think I'll stick with the 28mm Old Glory range. The Cavalry are the major expense. Thanks, John |

John I do virtually everything in 20mm, I find with 28s its the space you need for larger games (I just don`t have it) and the vehicle cost is astounding (at least to me). The main advantage of sticking to one scale for everything (again my own personal view and not an attack on any other scale) is – if I want peasents for a South American or Caribean game – I now have my Mexicans, for police – my Federales. They wouldn`t (and don`t) look out of place in African bush war games, either. Some of my colonial French who fought in our Rif War battles have fought as Mexicans in the Revolution, then as Vichy against the Brits/Aussies in Syria 1941, then against the Yanks (again Vichy) in Algeria 1942 and then against the Germans (now allied French)in Tunisia 1943 |
