When a movie makes that much money on the first week, you can bet there will be a sequel. |

Mark Ruffalo's The Hulk is clearly one of the audience's favorite characters The Hulk. Hey The Hulk! How's it going, The Hulk? Have you met this guy, The Cheat? link |

My link lays out the sequel schedule. Plus there is the Ant Man movie to work into it. |

This movie saved Disney's arse after the John Carter fiasco. Of course there will be a sequel. |
| richarDISNEY | 09 May 2012 7:50 a.m. PST |
Uhhh
John Carter made its money already. And then some. Not considered the bomb that they thought it was. In international markets, it really took off. link And that was back in April. And not released in Japan at that time. But here in the USA, it was still on the top 10 films for 5 weeks.

Thanks for the update richarDisney! It's good to know that JC has made a profite and wil be out on dvd soon! |
Shagnasty | 09 May 2012 9:28 a.m. PST |
The fiasco for JC was the way it was handled and marketed by the late, unlamented Disney brass. I am glad Josh Whedon has a big hit although the subject matter doesn't interest me. |
pzivh43 | 09 May 2012 9:47 a.m. PST |
Shag, It is definitely a Josh Whedon affair. Several completely unexpected laugh out loud scenes. And I mean everybody in theater laughed! |

The actor playign the Hulk/Bannor is signed up to do 6 more Hulk movies, either with the Avengers or on his own. There has yet to be a movie made that has not made money
eventually. Even the biggest bombs make money at some point, either in foreign release or DVD sales or the like. The thing the studios look at is does it make the money fast enough. The way they are set up now if you don't triple what it cost to make the film in the first 3 days it was a flop. |

Forget the Avengers, I want a sequal to The Incredibles. |

Went to see Avengers last night and liked it a lot. Second for the Incredibles. |

I consider Whedon as overrated, but at least he knows how to show a story and market a product. I agree, and I was somewhat worried for Avengers because of that. But he did a good job and Avengers was a good movie even if the 'invasion' was more like a raid. |

I wasn't all that interested in seeing Avengers, but I'm really glad I did. |
