Hello, Just painting up the Mongrel Miniatures Congo Range of mercenaries and I was thinking about the unreleased codes for the Command and character pack for the above that were mentioned/listed at a convention in the US last year I think. Has anyone heard any more about these packs? At this stage I'm looking at my little force going in to assist in evacuating townsfolk from the zombies that are invading the township. Cheers, Helen |

I wish I knew. I had high hopes for that company and they are another 28mm company that has driven me into 20mm by not completing their lines or never returning e-mail Ect. |

Good question, as I would like to add to my IDF/Syrian collection |

I would email newline designs to see if they know what the manufacturer is planning to do
.they seem to be the only ones associated with mongrel miniatures who reply to their customers. |

I wish I knew what was going on with Newlines' Mongrel range. Every time I look they show a smaller listing than the last time by removing packs??? The Congo range, the pakistani range et cetera,,,. |

I posted on this very topic a few weeks back and never received a response from owner of Mongrel (Badger/Pontoonier whatever he is called). To be honest, this has been going on for years and if it wasn't for some US TMPers saying that they see this chap at US conventions then I would have thought that it was dead in the water. From my email contact with Newline it didn't look like they knew when they would be restocked. In the end I bought some 10th Company and Syrians with the intention of lopping some heads off and turning them into generic African militia. Shouldn't have to butcher perfectly good figures but not much choice! |

In the last couple of weeks i ordered some US marines from Newline, and the owner said that generaly they remove the pic from the site as the stocks run out, and then re insert them as they re stock, to avoid people ordering packs they dont have, so an idea may be to keep an eye on the web site, and see whats there, then order swiftly.. |

What a bloody shame – a great minatures line going down the drain due to a bad business plan. |

For those of you in the Mid-West, Badger will be at Adepticon this weekend and Little Wars next weekend. |

For those of you in the Mid-West, Badger will be at Adepticon this weekend and Little Wars next weekend. On that basis would someone be kind enough to ask the owner what on earth is going on with the Congo range? Should we wait another few years in the hope that the range will be released, or just give up and sell the figures we have on ebay? Having spoken to the sculptor a few years ago at Salute I swear there are other miniatures from this range that have never been cast and sold. As Lobsterback says above, a truly awful business plan, and disingenuous to some pretty loyal customers of this range. |

I just looked at the Newline site and there is only one Congo set, Heavy Machine gun offered. What happened to all the earlier sets? |
