I sent an e-mail on his website for an order that I know did not work – besides his system of ordering was so convuluted I was left confused on how to do it – I then sent the guy a direct e-mail explaining that he was about to lose my business if he could not explain himself – it has been days and he has not even responded!!! Incredibly bad service!!! It would never go over in the real world !!! I have been aware of Triangle Mini's existence for years and have heard a few bad things about them from this site and other places – so – I have always ordered direct from the British manufacturers (and gotten good service!) and it is obvious that I will have to continue to do so – but it is too bad – because I spend a fortune on shipping - I cannot for the life of me understand how this guy is in business with an exclusive contract to sell the top British Napoleonic figures – but its typical in the gaming world - I also cannot for the life of me understand how many (or most) mom & pop miniature on-line dealers stay in business – in the real world they would not last two seconds, but gamers seem "alright" with putting up with miserable service – its really amazing how much gamers put up with to keep these businesses going! I am also guilty of it by finally trying to order from Triangle even though I knew it would be a worthless effort – just my two cents, which is worthless, on the state of ordering mini products on-line |

Paragraphs. Paragraphs are
good. So is spacing. Demanding instant gratification is probably not as good. Probably. |

No. In an electronic world of commerce; where your money is taken instantly, you would expect reasonable service times, and confirmations of the order. I would complain about the poor service to the companies that have given their exclusive contracts to Triangle. And to all the "middle management-types", don't start with, "call him", "it's a part-time business", "he's a good friend
I'm a fan" etc. If he's in business, there should be dedicated time in his schedule to do the job right. |

Maybe Buddy is at Historicon this week and thus is unable to give good service while he is out of town???? I don't know. I think that you are better off just ordering directly from the UK. Triangle can not possibly keep everything on its site in stock, to many SKUs, so he often has to order from the UK to match the incoming orders that he receives. Hence, if you order directly from the manufacturer, you will get the order faster. |

You obviously don't have dealings with some of the larger commercial concerns I have had to deal with in the 'real' world. Bad service is just as common in big companies as it is in small ones in my experience – look at the banks as an example, lots of competition but they are all crap. Look also at the praise on this site for many of the small wargaming businesses and their standards of service, don't just take a couple of bad experiences and tar the whole lot with the same brush. |

good. So is spacing.Demanding instant gratification is probably not as good. Probably. Hubert Selby Jnr says no, paragraphs, punctuation and neatly encapsulated thoughts, logically structured and ordered in a manner that makes their sense more clearly discernible are purely for squares – if you want any confirmation of this just ask my buddy Allen Ginsberg. |

I then sent the guy a direct e-mail explaining that he was about to lose my business if he could not explain himself – it has been days and he has not even responded!!! And let me guess
you see no connection between the first statement and the second, right?
I knew it would be a worthless effort Then he actually fulfilled your expectations, so why are you disappointed? You cannot expect someone to not do something and then be disappointed when they don't. |

I am like some of the others
spacing and punctuation. I couldn't even read the entire message you posted. If the email looked the same
it was probably skipped. |

Never had a problem ordering from Buddy. I do believe he is out of town for most of June or July. Call and leave a message. |

Buddy is in Europe for business purposes. He left in late June or early July, I don't recall which. We spoke several times on the telephone about an order I wanted to make. I thought that was surprising because I'm not an old customer. Anyhow, he made sure to ship the order the day before he left. I was very satisfied. I agree with some of the comments on the website ordering process. The PDF email system doesn't work (hence the telephone calls). I also agree with the some of the frustration. Our hobby time is very limited; when the stars of scheduling and budget align favorably, we want to strike quickly and enjoy our hobby. On the other hand, mom-and-pop businesses also have less time and money than larger concerns, so there's another star in the ordering heavens that has to align. |
