Did anyone ever game the battle of Ramelle at the end of the film? Just wondering if there were pictures, order of battle and a diagram out there somewhere. Thanks, 7th |

I know it is not a real battle. Not even a real town. I was just wondering if anyone had done the "fictional" battle. Thanks, 7th |

No, but a friend of mine and I have been talking for years about doing the battle at the end of Kelly's Heroes

The cover photo on Battlefront WWII, from the makers of Fire and Fury, is a miniature recreation of the final scene. I thought I had read that someone did up a scenario for it. Perhaps a look through the forum might turn it up: link |

I have run that scenario for about the last 6 years or so. Great fun, started running it back at Gen Con 6 years ago in 28mm. It was scaled back some as I only used what I had but it did include 1 tiger, 2 marders, 1 251 pulling the 20mm and about 50 german troops all against the small US forces. I ran this using the rules from WarEngine/Shockforce. Later I used a set of rules developed by RKE. The set up was most likely a litle smaller than what was seen in the movie. I did have the church steeple and the bridge, but no P51 to save the day. |

You have to find a way to make the Germans use suicidal tactics like they do in the film: no laying down cover-fire or systematically shooting holes in buildings with Tigers or Marders. |

You could try asking in the "WWII Scenarios" section of this site. Robert TMP link |

You have to find a way to make the Germans use suicidal tactics like they do in the film A strict time limit for the German forces. I think they (the germans) had to take the bridge before American reinforcements showed up. Sorry have not seen the movie in a few years.

I think it is a good idea to get a Steven Spielberg posable figure and substitute it for Pvt. Uppum in the miniature battle. |

I played it in the Close Combat V, with the AI running the Germans there are plenty of suicidal attacks. IIRC the modded scenario is in one of the numerous CC supoprt websites. |

Steel Panthers (a computer game) has two scenarios for Ramelle. |

Battleground WW2 had a scenario for that origionally on their website I believe. I downloaded it somewhere along the line. I think it is still on the Yahoo group. Lots of stuff still in the files, even if the forum part has completely gone to spam. The BGWW2 scenario should be useable in just about any skirmish rules system. I've used a couple of the scenarios with Disposable Heroes with no real modifications. |
