I'm sure this is a longshot, but does anyone know if there is a company that makes 1/285 cvilian vehicles, like cars, delivery trucks, etc? I'm building some urban terrain pieces, and I just think it would be a nice touch to put a few of them in.

Trucks aren't too much of a problem, since I can convert some military vehicles into civilian ones, but passenger cars or SUVs are hard to find. I've searched both GHQ and C-in-C.

Thanks, guys.

Hi, You might try plastruct:

link

The link was for a search for "car" in 1/250, try truck and others, and maybe 1/300, etc. Not perfect, but might be good enough.

Okay, that link didn't work properly, so try here:

plastruct.com

And try a search for car, truck etc, in scales close to 1/285

Irregular, as above.

Thanks a lot! I was pretty sure I wouldn't find anything, but both of those sites are good.

Dont buy the Irregular, they are massively overscale for 1/285 being closer to 1/200

Try this place link
Their scaling system is a little different I think the 1/30 scale matches 1/285 and their $50.00 USD minimum order is a bit of a drag

Try looking for "Z" scale vehhicles at Walthers.

Almost all the vehicles in this picture are "Z" scale. They work pretty well with 1/285th scale… and really well with the GHQ scale figures which are closer to "Z" anyway. Walthers also has "Z" scale unpainted civillians available from Preiser that will give you some civilians to go with the cars and trucks.

Z scale is too large. Your pickup will be the size of your Bradley!
The 1/240 architectural scale from Howard models are at least closer to the 1/285 then the 1/220 railway models (Z).

true scale…

Perhaps in your "true scale" narrowed view "Z" scale vehicles don't work with GHQ figures, but after using them for over 10 years in gaming venues all over the world I would have to disagree with that opinion, which is in fact what you statement is, an opinion.

In my opinion they work just fine…, which is just my opinion though this picture may do more to support my opinion than yours. But as in every case of photo review, size is subjective…
