I have a Titanic type indie published board game where the players are attempting to secure a spot on limited lifeboats. Try as i might, i cant locate any suitable minis or stl files. Any one know of offerings to represent 1910's liner crew and passengers from all economic stations?

Not knowing what scale you want does complicate matters a bit. However, Amazon sells a wide variety of styrene plastic civilian figures that should suit your requirements.

"150 Pcs Mini People Figurines 1:150 Scale Architectural Painted Tiny People Model Sitting and Standing Plastic Miniature People Assorted Poses Model Trains for Miniature Scenes
Brand: Harrycle"

Go to Amazon and search for these figures. They come in a lot of different scales. They are already painted, very poorly, but you can over-paint them with no loss of detail. They are late 20th Century figures but by painting them you should be able to get what you want out of them. I have done conversions on the women in pants to make dresses, just wrap them in aluminum foil and glue it on with superglue.

They are sold by several different companies and prices vary, but are really cheap and if you are doing 3,000 people for the Titanic cheap is your friend.

A couple other conversion tips, cut them in half and swap upper and lower bodies to get more poses. Swap heads to make ships crew, whittle their existing hats into other styles. Cut the cane off the old guy, cut down the tummy on the fat guy, even just bend the arms a little.

Regular model glue works great.

Use Evergreen Models sheet plastic Tile to cut little bases for them quickly and easily.

I look forward to the photos.

So tell us more about this board game. It sounds interesting.

Quick morning update. The game would be set in 28mm scale. Its played over three boards representing 3 decks in the shape of a passenger liner, every turn a random amount of blue tiles are placde over the spaces on the boards srarting bottom to top. You need to be in a life boat before the boards are covered completely. There are half the number of players(up to eight) in the lifeboats.

Thanks for the suggestion on the architecural models. They are not what im looking for unfortunately.

Back in the 1990s and earlier, Richard Houston had range of 25mm sailors in distress. They were hanging onto debris and I really liked the ones of men in circular life preservers.

I saw these on the Plastic Soldier Review, but they are OO scale.

I thought that somebody did "Jazz Age" minis.
Wargames Atlantic Partisans might do for "lower decks" passengers and crew but are exclusively male and most are armed (small matter to remove guns with an X-Acto)
These minis from Eureka might work for upper class folk link
And some of these Empress civilians might do link

Foundry might be able to provide a few from this range link or this one link

The game sounds sorta like a game from "Ideal" that we used to play called "The Sinking of the Titanic"… Many hours of fun back in the day but likely not so suitable for "The Modern Audience"…

Andrew Stadden makes great Victorian and Edwardian figure in O, OO, and HO scale. Some of his railway men wear reefer jackets that could make them adaptable for nautical purposes.

You gotta find your own Jack and Rose, though.
