I saw this on one of my facebook groups today:

A member sees a nicely painted and based army for sale. The probem is that it was his army, and that he gave the army to a friend.

The friend confirmed that the army was still in his possession.

The seller created an account within 24 hours of posting the figures for sale.

Be careful out there.

That's weird…so how did the seller get pics of the army?

I'm starting to come across a lot of IP/Product piracy on FB group pages. Everything from copying artwork and posting it and claiming it is "theirs", or taking actual designs and producing them and selling them as "their own".

Modern day technology has basically flipped off patent and trademark protection. And when the pirate lives in another country, there's literally nothing you can do. Hence the ongoing Sandra Garrity issue.

I imagine he copied them from a blog, a game report, or something similar.

Great. One more thing to hassle about.
My porch thief story got worse. Fed Ex wants me to pay a shipping sur-charge for the package they left in the open and got stolen!

Saw blatant copies of AB WW2 20mm minis on ebay---resin from some outfit in China (suprise). One set had the tab with AB stamped on it. Sent ebay a report. Silence from them

The big FB scam now is posting photos of STL files computer renders for 3D printing and claiming they will send you the printed out figures, or design, print and ship other figures to your special order.

Only thing is the computer renders were copied from the Internet and they actually have nothing. They take your money and you get nothing.

I won't accept any 3D printing sales on my FB groups any longer as a result of them being so prevalent.

I require they shop photos of the printed 3D models and quote both prices and shipping and if the supports are on or off when shipped. Most won't do that.

There is alot of fraud on FB with Chinese companies offering outrageous deals on products and either never delivering or sending low quality goods which are not what they showed I never buy something that seems to be too good too be true.Apparantly FB is more concerned about its ad revenue then the reliability of their advertisers.

Another FB scam is advertisements for game stores "going out of business", offering up to 80% off. You'll never see any product from these offers.

Why would you buy anything from Facebook from people outside a moderated group that you don't know? It is like people buying cheap phone chargers from Amazon and then being surprised when their house burns down.

Meanwhile, I have this Bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell …
