The website says the site is undergoing repairs, but this has now been many months. I'm not on Facebook but have heard they are contactable that way.

Is there any hope of the site becoming active again?

I don't think so.

I believe Grubby Tanks now owns the SHQ lines.

Thanks Dr X. I'll have a forage around.

It will likely be a few more months before the line is available again. You have to bear in mind that it's a huge inventory they have to sort through, quite possibly their biggest acquisition they have ever made (I know Redoubt was also no joke).

The owner has responded quickly to my email. As you say Rocco he has a large job ahead of him. Despite that he has asked what I was after which was very accommodating of him.

I should have added that I was after the Kennington range of 20mm Napoleonics, which are compatible with 1/72 plastics (although some sculpts seem to have slightly oversized hands).

Glad you got through.

Any chance of pictures of your collection? To be honest I find it absolutely fascinating that someone would game Napoleonics in 20mm given the domination of the other two scales that we all know of.

Ah Rocco I have asked myself that a few times and briefly flirted with the beautiful Perry sculpts or the equally compelling ABs.
I keep returning to 1/72 because there are to my eye some truly spectacular sculpts. Zvezda plastics are impressive, as are the modern strelets.

In metal there is Art Miniaturen whose sculpts are rougher but the poses fantastic. Massimo Costa's Black Watch figs have a life of their own. My favourite though are franznap miniatures.

The ranges are incomplete, and you have to spend a lot of time making conversions that could easily be bought in other scales, but you end up with something that has a certain uniqueness- even if it doesn't look quite as good!
