Hi I am in the process of resurrecting my PLAN fleet and was wondering in any one has done stats for the Shipwreck rues to cover some of the newer ships ie Liaoning, and the Luyang I and II class's. Thanks in anticipation Garry |

That's a tough ask because Shipwreck is kinda designed around Cold War era radars. The new radars can track a lot more contacts, which sorta breaks Shipwreck's model. There was talk of a new edition, but I don't think it materialized. Even the Arleigh Burke is tough to play in Shipwreck, and I'm not sure if we regular folks know the abilities of the latest PLAN radars (post 2004). Shipwreck is one of my favorite games, so I'll be watching this thread and hoping someone has done a bunch of research they're ready to share. And if Mr. Bourne finishes a new edition my money is waiting! |

Thanks for that Andrew makes sense what you said. Taking that on board I'm giving the Naval Command rules a go see how they go |

The admiralty trilogy group have a whole booklet with stats for all Chinese vessels up to the current ones for their Harpoon V game. You could probably take some of the data from this booklet and use it to generate the data for the set of rules that you are using. I have run a number of modern naval games using the latest Chinese vessels (Type 52D, Type 54A, Type 55 and Type 56) using the data in the booklet. |
