Although the discovery of the naval vessel HMS Tyger dates back to 1993 in Dry Tortugas National Park, it has now been positively identified, which provides additional protection under the Sunken Military Craft Act of 2004. Fox Weather: link |

Sunk during TMPer's favorite conflict: the War of Jenkins' Ear! Too bad it ran aground; if it had been lost in a fight, we could commemorate the event by gaming the battle. In a one-on-one fight, it did defeat the Dutch privateer Shackerloo in Cadiz harbor in 1674, two days after the end of the Third Anglo-Dutch War. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Tyger If I had any sailing ships, that might be worth refighting!
